Grok connects to custom MCP servers through Bring Your Own MCP, available on paid Grok accounts (any tier). MCP Server URL
To get your credentials, log into app.moltsets.com and go to Connectors to create a new connector.

Add the connector

  1. Go to grok.com/connectors.
  2. Select New Connector, then Custom.
  3. Enter the server URL: https://mcp.moltsets.com/mcp
  4. Grok detects that authentication is required and prompts for OAuth.
  5. Enter your Client ID and Client Secret from your MoltSets dashboard.
  6. Complete the login and approval step in the browser window that opens.
Once connected, Grok discovers the MoltSets tools automatically and surfaces them in conversations.
Bring Your Own MCP requires the server to be reachable over the public internet. Not a concern for MoltSets — mcp.moltsets.com is publicly hosted — but worth knowing when troubleshooting on Grok’s side, since local or tunneled MCP servers behave differently there: tunnel URLs expire and have to be re-added as new connectors.
