ChatGPT connects to MCP servers through Connectors (formerly “Apps”), found in Settings. MCP Server URL
To get your credentials, log into app.moltsets.com and go to Connectors to create a new connector.

Add the connector

  1. Go to Settings → Connectors (or Apps & Connectors, depending on your ChatGPT version).
  2. Select Add custom connector.
  3. Enter:
    • Name: MoltSets
    • MCP Server URL: https://mcp.moltsets.com/mcp
  4. When prompted for authentication, select OAuth.
  5. Enter your Client ID and Client Secret from your MoltSets dashboard.
  6. ChatGPT redirects you to app.moltsets.com to log in and approve access, then returns you to ChatGPT.
Once connected, MoltSets tools are available to invoke from any conversation where you enable the connector.
Custom MCP connectors require a Plus, Team, or Enterprise plan — they aren’t available on the free tier.
ChatGPT does not fall back to a static API key. If you only have a MoltSets API key (ms_XXXXXXXXXXX) rather than a Client ID / Client Secret pair, generate OAuth credentials from the Connectors page at app.moltsets.com first.
